Thanksgiving lunch at Vivalon
Vivalon Café in San Rafael is serving a Thanksgiving Special Luncheon Thursday, November 26, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, and vegetables, plus a chicory, walnut, pear, and blue cheese salad, mini tarts with caramelized leeks and cheese, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and spiced cider. $18 for members, $23 for everyone else. Call 415-456-9062 to register. Spots open October 29 and close November 23, or when it's full. 999 Third Street.

Shelf-stable food: rice, pasta, oats, canned fruit and vegetables, cereal, beans, soup, peanut butter, tuna and canned meat.

Markets
The Thursday Civic Center farmers market is usually 8am–1pm at the Marin County Civic Center. Thanksgiving falls on that Thursday. Agricultural Institute of Marin has not posted 2026 holiday hours. Do not assume it is open, and do not assume it moved to Wednesday.

The Sunday Civic Center market is 8am–1pm, rain or shine. November 29 is the Sunday after Thanksgiving. No holiday exception is posted.

What people get wrong
Thanksgiving 2026 is the 26th. Pages that still say November 27 are last year.
The metal turkey at Town Center is a real tradition. It is not on their 2026 events page yet.
