Buckeye Roadhouse is on Shoreline Highway in Mill Valley, a few hundred feet from the 101 off-ramp. The building is a 1937 hunting lodge — wood-paneled walls, a stone fireplace, taxidermy. The menu is American roadhouse: Oysters Bingo with bacon and garlic, baby back ribs from the smoker, the brick-pressed chicken. Most people end with the S'more Pie. Cindy Pawlcyn opened Buckeye in 1996; it's part of the Plumpjack group now. Open for dinner every night, plus brunch on weekends.
