Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival wrapped up Saturday and Sunday, September 19–20, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Old Mill Park. It was the juried outdoor show under the redwoods — art booths from more than 100 artists, a music stage, food vendors, and a Children's Grove with hands-on activities. The festival has been running for decades, and that weekend was the one locals circle on the calendar.
How people got there
Old Mill Park did not have festival parking. The free shuttle ran from the school lots — park at Tam High or Mill Valley Middle School and ride in. The shuttle map and stop locations are still on mvfaf.org. Walking or biking, the park is at the corner of Throckmorton and Old Mill Street, a short walk from downtown.
On the day
Tickets and festival info were on mvfaf.org. Food vendors were inside the park. The Children's Grove had hands-on art projects for kids. Live music ran both days on the stage. Dogs were not allowed in the park during the festival weekend.
